Summary:To provide a rocker arm support structure capable of adjusting a tappet clearance in compact configuration.SOLUTION: In a rocker arm support structure, a rocker arm shaft 16 comprises an arm support part 16b which penetrates a rocker arm 15, and a holder abutment part 16a which is supported by a shaft holder 10, and is suppored in an axially slidable manner by a drive mechanism 18. When axially sliding the rocker arm shaft 16 by the drive mechanism 18, a guide member 20 which is provided in the shaft holder 10 and a groove part 16g which is provided in the holder abutment part 16a and extends while being tilted in relative to a central axis SC are slid, thereby rotating the rocker arm shaft 16 and with rotation of the arm support part 16b that is made eccentric, a tappet clearance between the rocker arm 15 and a cam surface 14 is adjusted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】コンパクトな構成で、タペットクリアランスを調整可能なロッカーアーム支持構造を提供する。【解決手段】ロッカーアーム支持構造において、ロッカーアームシャフト16は、ロッカーアーム15を貫通するアーム支持部16bとシャフトホルダ10に支持されるホルダ当接部16aとを有し、駆動機構18により軸方向にスライド可能に支持される。駆動機構18によってロッカーアームシャフト16が軸方向にスライドするとき、シャフトホルダ10に設けられたガイド部材20とホルダ当接部16aに設けられ中心軸線SCに対して傾斜して延びる溝部16gとが摺動することでロッカーアームシャフト16が回転し、偏心したアーム支持部16bの回転に伴ってロッカーアーム15とカム面14とのタペットクリアランスが調整される。【選択図】図2
