To provide a reinforcing fiber mat that is used as an intermediate material of a fiber-reinforced composite material molded article having isotropy, excellent mechanical strength and high strength expression rate.SOLUTION: There is provided a reinforcing fiber mat that comprises reinforcing fibers having an average fiber length of 3 mm to 100 mm. The reinforcing fibers include reinforcing fiber bundles (A) comprising fibers in an amount equal to or more than a critical single yarn number which is defined by the following formula (1), an average thickness of the reinforcing fiber bundles (A) is equal to or less than 100 μm, and the number (n) of the reinforcing fiber bundles (A) per unit weight (g) of the reinforcing fiber satisfies the following formula (I): Critical single yarn number=600/D (1) (in which D is an average fiber diameter (μm) of reinforcing fibers); and 0.65×10/L<n (I) (in which L is an average fiber length (mm) of reinforcing fibers).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】等方性で、機械強度に優れ、かつ強度の発現率が高い繊維強化複合材料成形体の中間材料として用いられる強化繊維マットを提供する。【解決手段】平均繊維長３〜１００ｍｍの強化繊維を含み、前記強化繊維は、下記式（１）で定義される臨界単糸数以上で構成される強化繊維束（Ａ）を含み、前記強化繊維束（Ａ）の平均厚みが１００μｍ以下であり、強化繊維単位重量（ｇ）当たりの強化繊維束（Ａ）の数（ｎ）が下記式（Ｉ）を満たすことを特徴とする強化繊維マット。臨界単糸数＝６００／Ｄ （１）（ここでＤは強化繊維の平均繊維径（μｍ）である）０．６５×１０４／Ｌ ＜ ｎ （Ｉ）（Ｌは強化繊維の平均繊維長（ｍｍ）である）【選択図】図１
