Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure prediction system for a small ship accurately predicting a failure by recognizing an operation device for each operator.SOLUTION: A failure prediction system: includes a plurality of small ships maneuvered by one of a plurality of operators, an electronic control units attached to outboard engines of the ships, and a computer; acquires an ID of an embarking person and the like by making access to the computer when the operator embarks on the own ship; acquires past maneuvering data on all ships by an acquired ID of the embarking person (S10, S12), acquires new maneuvering data on embarking person's own ship and merges it with the past maneuvering data as well as transmitting it to the computer (S14); sets a normal value range by selecting a prescribed parameter in combined data (S16); determines whether or not the parameter of the new maneuvering data is within a normal value range (S18); and predicts failure of an outboard engine of the own ship according to the result (S20, S22).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】操縦者ごとの操作の装置を認識することで故障を精度良く予測するようにした小型船舶の故障予測システムを提供する。
