Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misjudgment that a battery is deteriorated even though the battery is not deteriorated when a vehicle is a new vehicle in the case of judging a deterioration degree of the battery based on detected voltage of the battery.SOLUTION: A voltage threshold group at a level lower than that of a first voltage threshold group corresponding to a case that a vehicle is not a new vehicle is stored in storage means 6a as a second voltage threshold group corresponding to a case that the vehicle is the new vehicle. Then, when cranking frequencies to be detected by cranking frequency detection means 6c do not reach a predetermined state in cranking by on of an ignition switch 5, it is judged that the vehicle is the new vehicle, and a voltage threshold to be a criterion of a deterioration degree of a battery 2 is switched to the second voltage threshold group at the level lower than that of the first voltage threshold group in the case that the vehicle is not the new vehicle to be compared with battery voltage to be detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】バッテリの検出電圧に基づきバッテリの劣化度合いを判断する場合に、当該車両が新車であるときに、バッテリが劣化していないにも拘らず劣化しているとの誤判断を防止できるようにする。【解決手段】記憶手段6aに、当該車両が新車である場合に対応した第2の電圧閾値群として、新車でない場合に対応した第1の電圧閾値群よりもレベルの低いものを記憶する。そして、イグニッションスイッチ5のオンによるクランキング時に、クランキング回数検出手段6cにより検出されるクランキング回数が所定状態に達していない場合に、当該車両が新車であると判断して、バッテリ2の劣化度合いの判断基準となる電圧閾値を、新車ではない場合の第1の電圧閾値群よりも低いレベルの第2の電圧閾値群に切り換え、検出されるバッテリ電圧との比較を行う。【選択図】図1
