Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component which can prevent reduction in saturation magnetic flux density, while ensuring reliability in electrical connection.SOLUTION: A coil component 10 comprises: a coil part 12; a coating part 7 covering the coil part 12; a conductor post 19A which is provided in the coating part 7 in a penetrating manner so as to extend from a winding part 13 to a top face 7a of the coating part 7; a cover insulating layer 30 having a through-hole 31a at a position corresponding to the conductor post 19A; and an external terminal 20A stacked on the cover insulating layer 30. The conductor post 19A has: a post part 17A; and a lid part 18A extending along the surface direction of the top face 7a from the end on the top face 7a side of the post part 17A. A region provided with the external terminal 20A and a region provided with the lid part 18A both overlap all of a region provided with the through-hole 31a. An area of the region provided with the external terminal 20A and an area of the region provided with the lid part 18A are each larger than an area of the region provided with the through-hole 31a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
