PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming unit which makes accuracy of supply control of a sheet according to a kind of the sheet improve.SOLUTION: An image forming unit 1 detects characteristic parameters that influence conveyance accuracy of a sheet P. The image forming unit 1 inhibits supply of the sheet when the characteristic parameter exceeds a second threshold larger than a first threshold, and delays inhibition of the supply of the sheet if the characteristic parameter is more than the first threshold and is the second threshold or less. The image forming unit 1 discriminates conveyance delay of the sheet P on the basis of conveyance time of the sheet P, counts the number of times of occurring of the conveyance delay in a state in which the inhibition of the supply of the sheet P is delayed. The image forming unit 1 inhibits the supply of the sheet when the number of times of occurring of the conveyance delay in a state in which the inhibition of the supply of the sheet P is delayed becomes a predetermined number of times or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】シートの種類に応じたシートの供給制御の精度を向上させること。【解決手段】画像形成装置１はシートＰの搬送精度に影響する特性パラメータを検知する。画像形成装置１は特性パラメータが第一閾値よりも大きな第二閾値を超えると、シートの供給を禁止し、特性パラメータが第一閾値を超えかつ第二閾値以下であればシートの供給の禁止を猶予する。画像形成装置１はシートＰの搬送時間に基づきシートＰの搬送遅延を判別し、シートＰの供給の禁止が猶予されている状態で搬送遅延の発生した回数を計数する。画像形成装置１はシートＰの供給の禁止が猶予されている状態で搬送遅延の発生した回数が所定回数以上になると、シートの供給を禁止する。【選択図】 図１
