Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyzed water generator capable of detecting an abnormal state such as a short circuit regardless of a difference in electric conductivity of water to be electrolyzed when electrolyzed water is generated, appropriately executing production of electrolyzed water and improving safety.SOLUTION: As a short circuit detection of a current between electrode units 16a, 16b, and 16c, a voltage is applied between the electrode units for a short time in a state where water is present in an electrolytic cell. A current value flowing between the electrode units is acquired by a control unit 30. In addition, a voltage applied between the electrode units is set to be a voltage in a very short predetermined period in the vicinity of a minimum value in a pulsating flow waveform obtained by full-wave rectification of an alternating current. Regarding the obtained current value, the control unit 30 determines whether or not it is in a short-circuit state compared with a threshold value, and therefore the voltage between the electrode units at the time of energization for detection is decreased so that the current between the electrode units can be suppressed in a state that is not a short circuit, and it is possible to clarify a difference from a large current in a state that is a short circuit. Then, it is possible to appropriately determine the short circuit and improve the safety of the device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】 電解水の生成に際し、電解対象とされる水の電気伝導度の違いに関わりなく短絡等の異常状態を検出でき、電解水の生成を適切に実行でき、安全性を高められる電解水生成装置を提供する。【解決手段】 電極部16a、16b、16c間の電流の短絡検出として、電解槽に水がある状態で、短時間だけ電極部間に電圧を印加し、電極部間に流れる電流値を制御部30で取得し、加えて、電極部間に印加する電圧は、交流の全波整流により得られる脈流波形における、極小値近傍のごく短い所定期間の電圧となるようにし、得られた電流値について、制御部30が閾値と比較して短絡状態か否か判定することから、検出のための通電時における電極部間の電圧を小さくして、短絡ではない状態における電極部間での電流を抑えられ、短絡状態の大電流との差異を明確にでき、適切に短絡を判別して装置の安全性を向上させられる。【選択図】 図4
