Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature monitoring system that is superb in measuring precision and offers a high degree of freedom in determining an installation place of a temperature sensor.SOLUTION: A passive tag 2 includes a temperature sensor and a transmitter that transmits detection data of the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor and the transmitter are incorporated in a sheet-type substrate, and the tag 2 is formed like a sheet as a whole. Plural racks 1 accommodate objects of temperature monitoring. The tag 2 is attached to the rack 1. An antenna 6 radiates a radio wave with which the tag 2 is activated, and receives a radio wave to which data of the temperature sensor transmitted from the tag 2 is convoluted.
