Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic pen capable of encouraging a user to increase pen pressure in order to prevent frequent occurrence of drawing interruption, and to provide a method and program for controlling the electronic pen.SOLUTION: An electronic pen of the present invention is designed to be used for drawing on a display device, and is equipped with a touch sensor, a holding pressure sensor, and a drawing determination unit. The touch sensor detects the presence/absence of user's touch on a central portion of the electronic pen. The holding pressure sensor detects holding pressure indicative of how strong the user is holding a rear portion of the pen. The drawing determination unit determines whether to disable a drawing process by the electronic pen or not based on a result of detection by the touch sensor and a result of detection by the holding pressure sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 【課題】描画の途切れが頻発することを防ぐことを目的として、ユーザに対してペンを押す力を促すことが可能な電子ペン、電子ペンの制御方法およびプログラムを提供する。【解決手段】本発明の電子ペンは、表示装置への描画に用いられる電子ペンであって、接触検知センサと保持力検知センサと描画判定部とを備える。接触検知センサは、電子ペンの中央部へのユーザの接触の有無を検知する。保持力検知センサは、ペン尻をユーザが保持する力を示す保持力を検知する。描画判定部は、接触検知センサによる検知結果と、保持力検知センサによる検知結果とに基づいて、電子ペンによる描画処理を無効にするか否かを判定する。【選択図】図11
