PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote use of accumulated know-how while protecting an interest of an existing farmer.SOLUTION: An information providing system includes a storage unit, a registration unit, a collation unit, and a transmission unit. The storage unit stores a crop cultivated by an information provider, a cultivation site of the crop, and information on a cultivation method of the crop in association with each other. The registration unit registers a cultivation site of an information user in a storage unit based on a request for providing information on the cultivation method of the crop transmitted from an information terminal of the information user. The collation unit collates the cultivation site of the information provider with the cultivation site of the information user.
