PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser scanner having high reliability.SOLUTION: The laser scanner includes a light source 11 emitting laser light and a deflecting element 12 including first and second liquid crystal panels 20 laminated and deflecting the laser light from the light source 11. The first liquid crystal panel 20 includes first and second substrates, first and second electrodes 25, 27 mounted respectively on the first and second substrates and opposing to each other, and a first liquid crystal layer 23 filling a space between the first and second substrates. The second liquid crystal panel 20 includes third and fourth substrates, third and fourth electrodes 25, 27 mounted respectively on the third and fourth substrates and opposing to each other, and a second liquid crystal layer 23 filling a space between the third and fourth substrates. The first electrode 25 is longer than the third electrode 25 in a first direction of the laser light for scanning.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】 信頼性の高いレーザ走査装置を提供する。【解決手段】 レーザ走査装置は、レーザ光を発光する光源１１と、積層された第１及び第２液晶パネル２０を含み、光源１１からのレーザ光を屈折させる偏向素子１２とを含む。第１液晶パネル２０は、第１及び第２基板と、第１及び第２基板にそれぞれ設けられかつ互いに対向する第１及び第２電極２５、２７と、第１及び第２基板間に充填された第１液晶層２３とを含む。第２液晶パネル２０は、第３及び第４基板と、第３及び第４基板にそれぞれ設けられかつ互いに対向する第３及び第４電極２５、２７と、第３及び第４基板間に充填された第２液晶層２３とを含む。レーザ光を走査する第１方向において、第１電極２５は、第３電極２５より長い。【選択図】 図３
