Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser scanner having high reliability.SOLUTION: The laser scanner includes a light source 11 emitting laser light and a deflecting element 12 including first and second liquid crystal panels 20 laminated and deflecting the laser light from the light source 11. The first liquid crystal panel 20 includes first and second substrates, first and second electrodes 25, 27 mounted respectively on the first and second substrates and opposing to each other, and a first liquid crystal layer 23 filling a space between the first and second substrates. The second liquid crystal panel 20 includes third and fourth substrates, third and fourth electrodes 25, 27 mounted respectively on the third and fourth substrates and opposing to each other, and a second liquid crystal layer 23 filling a space between the third and fourth substrates.
