PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope vibration suppressing unit for an elevator, which alone can suppress two rope parts from laterally vibrating in one direction.SOLUTION: The rope vibration suppressing unit comprises an anti-vibration bar 102, and an actuator 108, installed outside elevation passages for an elevator car 26, a first lifting body and a balance weight 28, a second lifting body, which turns the anti-vibration bar 102. The anti-vibration bar 102 is turned by the actuator 108 to be switched between a standby state where the bar stands and an operation state where the bar lies down. In the operation state, the anti-vibration bar 102 lies down beside both rope parts 24A and 24B: the first rope part (24A) is a rope part of either of an elevator car-side main rope part 24A and a balance weight-side rope part and the second rope part (24) is a rope part of the other of the balance weight-side main rope part 24B and the balance weight-side rope part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】一台で、二つのロープ部分の一方向の横振れを抑制し得る、エレベータ用のロープ振れ抑制ユニットを提供する。【解決手段】振れ止めバー１０２と、第１の昇降体であるかご２６および第２の昇降体である釣合おもり２８の昇降経路外に設置され、振れ止めバー１０２を回動するアクチュエータ１０８と、を有し、振れ止めバー１０２は、アクチュエータ１０８で回動されて、起立した待機状態と横たわる作動状態とに切り換えられ、前記作動状態において振れ止めバー１０２は、かご側主ロープ部分２４Ａと釣合おもり側釣合ロープ部分のいずれか一方のロープ部分である第１ロープ部分(２４Ａ)と釣合おもり側主ロープ部分２４Ｂと釣合おもり側釣合ロープ部分のいずれか一方のロープ部分である第２ロープ部分(２４Ｂ)の両方のロープ部分２４Ａ，２４Ｂの側方に横たわる構成とした。【選択図】図４
