Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly inspect a bypass diode used for a solar cell.SOLUTION: A solar cell inspection apparatus has a diode 2 connected between a positive electrode and a negative electrode of a solar cell string 12 with polarity that allows a passage of output current Io outputted from the solar cell string 12 when a solar cell 23 is in a power generation state, a current supplying portion 3 which can supply constant current of a specified current value Ia1 exceeding a short current value of the solar cell string 12 in the absence of an open failure in a bypass diode 24 from the negative electrode to the positive electrode of the solar cell string 12 in a short state connected to the diode 2 in the power generation state, a current detection portion 4 detecting current Ia flowing through the solar cell string 12, and a processing portion 7 inspecting a presence/absence of the open failure in the bypass diode 24 based on whether or not a current value Ia2 of the current Ia detected by the current detection portion 4 when the current Ia is supplied by the current supplying portion 3 to the solar cell string 12 in the short state is the specified current value Ia1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】太陽電池に使用されているバイパスダイオードを正確に検査する。【解決手段】太陽電池23が発電状態のときに太陽電池ストリング12から出力される出力電流Ioの通過を許容する極性で太陽電池ストリング12の正極および負極間に接続されるダイオード2と、発電状態においてダイオード2が接続されて短絡状態にある太陽電池ストリング12の負極から正極に向けて、バイパスダイオード24にオープン故障の無いときの太陽電池ストリング12の短絡電流値を超える規定電流値Ia1の定電流を供給可能な電流供給部3と、太陽電池ストリング12に流れる電流Iaを検出する電流検出部4と、短絡状態の太陽電池ストリング12への電流供給部3による電流Iaの供給時に電流検出部4で検出された電流Iaの電流値Ia2が規定電流値Ia1であるか否かに基づいてバイパスダイオード24でのオープン故障の有無を検査する処理部7とを備えている。【選択図】図1
