Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain accurate encoder angle data even when a foreign material adheres to a single-track type Nbit absolute pattern.SOLUTION: A one-track type Nbit absolute encoder converts the read data obtained by simultaneously reading absolute patterns (2) by each light-receiving element (6) of at least three or more light-receiving element sets (20, 7, 21) into first to third angle data (A, B, C), compares first to third angle data (A, B', C') after offset correction, and selects the first angle data (A) composed of the most common angle data as encoder angle data (A).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】本発明は、1トラック型のNbitアブソリュートパターンに異物が付着した場合でも、正確なエンコーダ角度データを得ることである。【解決手段】本発明による1トラック型のNbitアブソリュートエンコーダは、少なくとも、3組以上の受光素子組(20,7,21)の各受光素子(6)により、アブソリュートパターン(2)を同時に読み取った読み取りデータを第1〜第3角度データ(A,B,C)に変換し、オフセット補正後の第1〜第3角度データ(A,B',C')の比較を比較し、最も多い角度データからなる第1角度データ(A)をエンコーダ角度データ(A)とする構成である。【選択図】図1
