Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key operated selector switch capable of allocating plural operation modes in which one or more selection operations are allowed depending on one model number of a key operated selector switch.SOLUTION: The key operated selector switch has a plural steps of rotation range restriction mechanisms which are arranged along an insertion direction of a key between a rotor 81 and a rotor case 7. Depending on an engagement state of the inserted key with the engaged portion in the rotor 81, the rotation range restriction mechanisms allows the rotor 81 to be rotated overriding a protruding wall which is formed on an inner wall of the rotor case 7, or for restricting the rotor 81 from being rotated overriding the protruding wall. The rotation range restriction mechanism in the respective steps has a rotation angle range up to each protruding wall, which is different from each other. The rotor 81 is arranged to be rotated up to a minimum rotatable range of the rotating range limiting mechanism in each step. The rotatable range is determined by the state of engagement with the engaged portion of the key corresponding to the rotating range limiting mechanism of each stage.
