PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision detection device which enables reduction of the number of components to simplify the structure.SOLUTION: A collision detection device is mounted on a vehicle 1 including a bumper cover 2 in which a first bumper component 2a provided at a position including a vehicle side surface and a second bumper component 2b provided on a vehicle front surface are joined by joint members 16, 17. The collision detection device includes: a deformation detection part 20 capable of detecting deformation of the bumper cover; and a signal processing part 30 which determines that an object collides with the bumper cover 2 on the basis of a signal input from the deformation detection part 20. The deformation detection part 20 is attached to a border neighbor part 18 which is a neighbor portion of a border between the first bumper component 2a and the second bumper component 2b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 31 【課題】部品点数を少なくし、構成を簡素にすることの可能な衝突検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】衝突検知装置は、車両側面を含む位置に設けられる第１バンパ部品２ａと、車両正面に設けられる第２バンパ部品２ｂとが接合部材１６、１７により接合されているバンパカバー２を備えた車両１に搭載される。この衝突検知装置は、バンパカバーの変形を検知可能な変形検知部２０と、その変形検知部２０から入力される信号に基づき、バンパカバー２に物体が衝突したことを判定する信号処理部３０とを備えている。変形検知部２０は、第１バンパ部品２ａと第２バンパ部品２ｂとの境界の近傍部位としての境界近傍部１８に取り付けられている。【選択図】図３１
