Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection hole for an industrial furnace capable of sufficiently suppressing adhesion and accumulation of dust on an entire surface including a peripheral portion of an outer edge constituting a window plate of a glass window and of facilitating work for replacing the glass window.SOLUTION: An inspection hole 1 includes: a window plate installation box 11 installed in an inspection opening of an outer wall; a window frame 12 formed in an outer opening of the window plate installation box 11; a window plate 13 placed on the window frame 12; and a gas supply section 14 installed on one side surface of the window plate installation box 11 and supplying purge gas to an inner space of the window plate installation box 11. A pair of window plate nipping plates 121 that can nip an end of the window plate 13 are formed on a bottom side and both lateral sides of the window frame 12. A window plate end surface gap width that is a mean value of a distance between each surface of the window plate 13 and each inner surface of the window plate nipping plate 121 is set to 0.5 mm or more, and a window plate lateral side gap width that is a mean value of a distance between each lateral side of the window plate 13 and each opposing lateral side of the window frame 12 is set to 0.5 mm or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】窓板を構成するガラス窓の外縁部周辺を含む全面におけるダストの付着堆積を十分に抑制可能で、且つ、ガラス窓の交換作業も容易に行うことができる、工業炉の点検用覗き窓を提供すること。【解決手段】外壁の点検用開口部に設置されている窓板設置箱11と、窓板設置箱11の外側開口部に形成されている窓枠12と、窓枠12に載置されている窓板13と、窓板設置箱11の一側面に設置されていて、窓板設置箱11の内部空間にパージ用の気体を供給する気体供給部14と、を備える点検用覗き窓1とし、窓枠12の底辺及び両側辺に窓板13の端部を挟持することができる一対の窓板挟持板121を形成し、窓板13の各表面と、窓板挟持板121の各内側表面との間の距離の平均値である窓板端面隙間幅を0.5mm以上、窓板13の各側辺と窓枠12の対向する各側辺との間の距離の平均値である窓板側辺隙間幅を0.5mm以上とする。【選択図】図2
