PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunctions of a portable cosmetic device in an easy and reliable manner.SOLUTION: A portable cosmetic device 100 includes: a holding part 101; an operation part 102; an operation switch 103 which changes processing operation of the operation part 102; a sensor electrode 104 which changes electrostatic capacitance based on whether or not the holding part 101 is held; and a control device 105 which is electrically connected with the operation switch 103 and the sensor electrode 104 and controls the processing operation of the operation part 102.
