Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit interrupter having such a structure capable of quickly and safely isolating an arc generated in a gap between contacts from the contacts.SOLUTION: A circuit interrupter has a first contact 112 positioned on a moveable contact arm 130, and the movable contact arm is moveable into and out of physical contact with a stationary contact 110. An arc horn shield 170 is positioned on or affixed to an escapement 140 that is coupled to the moveable contact arm. The arc horn shield includes a substantially U-shaped tab that is provided as a protrusion with an arc receiving surface such that when the moveable contact is moved into the vicinity of the protrusion, any arc that may be formed between the contacts is passed from the moveable contact to the arc receiving surface to minimize damage to the moveable contact and extinguish the arc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】接点間の隙間に発生するアークを、迅速且つ安全に接点から離すことが可能な構造を有する回路遮断器を提供する。【解決手段】当該回路遮断器は、可動接点アーム130に位置する第1の接点112を備え、可動接点アームは静止接点110と物理的な接触に移入または移出することができる。アークホーンカバー170はエスケープメント140に位置し、またはエスケープメントに固定され、エスケープメントは可動接点アームと結合され、アークホーンカバーは略U字形をなす突片を含み、当該突片はアーク受け面を有する突出部として提供され、可動接点が突出部の近傍に移動されるとき、接点間で形成しえる任意のアークが可動接点からアーク受け面に伝達することができ、これにより、可動接点に対する損傷を最小化すると共にアークを消弧する。【選択図】図1
