PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a security system that allows a user to easily recognize a security mode switching result obtained by a security device on the basis of security mode switching operations operated by the user, together with a past history; a portable terminal; a security device; a server device; a security method; and a program.SOLUTION: A security system includes: a security device for securing an object to be secured by a plurality of security modes; and a portable terminal capable of communicating with the security device. The security device switches the security mode on the basis of security mode switching operations operated by a user, and has a security mode controlling means for transmitting, to the portable terminal, mode switching signals including mode identification information for identifying at least the security modes which have been switched over.
