PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a registration device and a program that can prevent mixing of commodities in different transactions in sales registration.SOLUTION: A registration device for a checkout system comprises: a registration device that registers for sales commodities to be sold to customers; and an accounting device that executes accounting processing on the commodities registered by the registration device; the registration device includes input means, registration means, and notification means. The input means receives an input of identification information with which the commodities to be sold can be identified. The registration means registers for sales the identification information received by the input means for every transaction.
