PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of making a component with an integral strain indicator.SOLUTION: A method of making a component (10) with an integral passive strain indicator includes forming the component (10) of a single uniform material, the component (10) comprising an outer surface (14) and an internal volume (15).
