PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a luminaire capable of suppressing dust accumulation while suppressing occurrence of glare.SOLUTION: A luminaire 50 includes a luminaire body 500 which includes a light source 500a and an emission surface 500b for emitting light L1 from the light source 500a to the outside, and which is embedded and fixed to a fixed part in a state where the emission surface 500b is along an exposed surface exposed to an indoor space 10 of the fixed part. Also, the fixed part is a side wall part 22 out of a wall part 20 for defining the indoor space 10 or a side wall member 40 fixed to the wall part 20 and extending vertically in a side view. Also, the exposed surface is a side wall surface 22a of the side wall part 22 or an outside surface 41b of the side wall member 40. Then, the luminaire body 500 is constituted so that a main optical axis direction D1 of emission light L2 emitted to the indoor space 10 from the emission surface 500b faces further upside or downside than a normal line D2 of the emission surface 500b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】グレアの発生を抑えつつ埃がたまってしまうのを抑制することのできる照明装置を得る。【解決手段】照明装置５０は、光源５００ａと光源５００ａからの光Ｌ１を外部に出射する出射面５００ｂとを有し、出射面５００ｂを被固定部の屋内空間１０に露出する露出面に沿わせた状態で被固定部に埋め込み固定される照明装置本体５００を備えている。また、被固定部が、屋内空間１０を画成する壁部２０のうちの側壁部２２または壁部２０に固定されて側面視で上下方向に延在する側壁部材４０である。また、露出面が、側壁部２２の側壁面２２ａまたは側壁部材４０の外表面４１ｂである。そして、照明装置本体５００は、出射面５００ｂから屋内空間１０に出射される出射光Ｌ２の主光軸方向Ｄ１が、出射面５００ｂの法線方向Ｄ２よりも上側または下側を向くように構成されている。【選択図】図７
