Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an insulating member and an electrical connector which can realize improvement in strength of the insulating member and reduction in warpage of the insulating member while making a flow of an injected molten resin difficult to generate a bias and preventing the flowability of the molten resin from being impaired.SOLUTION: The method includes a molding step of molding an insulating member by filling an internal space 20 of a mold 15 with a molten resin from at least three gate holes 5a, 5b, 5c. In the molding step, the gate hole 5a out of the gate holes 5a, 5b, 5c is disposed on a first imaginary straight line 20a bisecting the internal space 20 in a longitudinal direction of the internal space 20. The other gate holes 5b, 5c are disposed so that a virtual line segment connecting the other gate holes 5b, 5c and the gate hole 5a arranged on the first imaginary straight line 20a does not become parallel to the first imaginary straight line 20a and a second virtual straight line 20b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】注入された溶融樹脂の流れに偏りが生じにくく、溶融樹脂の流動性が損なわれることのないようにしつつ、絶縁部材の強度向上と絶縁部材の反りの低減とを実現することができる絶縁部材の製造方法及び電気コネクタを提供する。【解決手段】この方法は、少なくとも3つのゲート孔5a,5b,5cから溶融樹脂を金型15の内部空間20に充填して、絶縁部材を成型する成型ステップを含む。成型ステップでは、ゲート孔5a,5b,5cのうちのゲート孔5aを、内部空間20の長手方向に内部空間20を2等分する第1の仮想直線20a上に配置する。また、他のゲート孔5b,5cを、他のゲート孔5b,5cと第1の仮想直線20a上に配置されたゲート孔5aとを結ぶ仮想線分が、第1の仮想直線20a及び第2の仮想直線20bと平行とならないように配置する。【選択図】図4
