PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in accuracy of pattern matching even when there is a difference in transportation speed.SOLUTION: A transportation detection device comprises: acquisition means for acquiring first image data and second image data by photographing recording paper P at different timings; processing means for obtaining correlation information between a template image extracted from the first image data and an image of a region set by the second image data; and calculation means for calculating position information of an image corresponding to the template image in the second image data on the basis of position information in a region corresponding to the correlation information of higher matching degree than a threshold value out of the correlation information obtained by the processing means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】搬送速度に差がある場合であっても、パターンマッチングの精度の低下を抑制することを目的とする。【解決手段】搬送検出装置は、記録用紙Ｐを異なるタイミングで撮影することで第１画像データおよび第２画像データを取得する取得手段と、第１画像データから抽出されたテンプレート画像と、第２画像データに設定された領域の画像との間における相関情報を求める処理手段と、処理手段により求められた相関情報のうち閾値よりも一致度合いが高い相関情報に対応する領域の位置情報に基づいて、第２画像データ内におけるテンプレート画像に対応する画像の位置情報を算出する算出手段と、を有することを特徴とする。【選択図】図４
