Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter detection method capable of achieving high accuracy of foreign matter detection similar to that of an optical detection mechanism and simplification of equipment adjustment.SOLUTION: A detection part detecting presence of an object which can be brought into contact with a liquid discharge part in association with relative movement between a medium and the liquid discharge part is provided with a piezoelectric film sensor outputting an electric signal when the object is brought into contact with the detection part. The detection part has continuously formed first, second and third plate parts. The first plate part is fixed such that the second and third plate parts are in cantilever states. The second plate part, in a state of the piezoelectric film sensor being mounted thereon, obliquely continues to the first plate part with respect to a vertical direction of the medium. The third plate part bends from the second plate part and faces the medium with a gap between the medium and itself.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】光学的な検知機構と同程度の異物検知の高精度化と機器調整の簡便化をなし得る異物検知手法を提供する。【解決手段】媒体と液体吐出部との相対移動に伴って液体吐出部に接触しえる対象物の存在を検知する検知部に、検知部への対象物接触の際に電気信号を出力する圧電フィルムセンサーを備える。検知部は、連続的に形成された第1,第2,第3プレート部を有し、第1プレート部は、第2,第3プレート部が片持ち状となるように固定され、第2プレート部は、圧電フィルムセンサーを装着した状態で、媒体の鉛直方向に対して斜めに第1プレート部に連続し、第3プレート部は、第2プレート部から屈曲し、媒体との間に間隙を残して媒体と対向する。【選択図】図3 |
