PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator which can suppress a cost and can improve adhesion of a holding member to a housing and sealability.SOLUTION: A gas generator 100 has a lower side shell 10 and an upper side shell 20, includes a housing in which a plurality of gas ejection ports 23 are arranged, a seal tape 24 blocking the gas ejection ports 23, a combustion chamber formed of a space surrounded by an inner wall of the housing and an inner wall of a filter material 70, a gas generator 61 stored in the combustion chamber, an igniter 40 which ignites and burns the gas generator 61, and a resin holding member 36 which is provided on a recess 14 of the lower shell 10 and holds terminal pins 42 and 43 of the igniter 40 in a state of partially exposed and is formed with a female type connector portion 36a. On at least a part of the recess 14 in contact with the holding member 36, a joint portion 14a joined to the holding member 36 by an anchor effect is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】コストを抑えることができ、ハウジングに対する保持部材の接着性およびシール性を向上することができるガス発生器を提供する。【解決手段】ガス発生器１００は、下部側シェル１０と上部側シェル２０とを有し、複数のガス噴出口２３が配設されたハウジングと、ガス噴出口２３を閉塞するシールテープ２４と、上記ハウジングの内壁とフィルタ材７０の内壁とで囲まれる空間で形成される燃焼室と、上記燃焼室に収容されるガス発生剤６１と、ガス発生剤６１を着火燃焼させる点火器４０と、下側部シェル１０の窪み部１４に設けられ、点火器４０の端子ピン４２、４３を部分的に露出した状態で保持すると共に雌型コネクタ部３６ａが形成された樹脂製の保持部材３６とを備える。保持部材３６が接触する窪み部１４のうち少なくとも一部に、アンカー効果により保持部材３６に接合される接合部位１４ａが形成される。【選択図】図１
