PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable bar unit for a platform fence constitution which can easily be applied to plural door arrangements of various kinds of cars while securing safety of passengers of trains.SOLUTION: A movable bar unit (13) comprises: a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped housing (33) that is long in one direction; a movable bar (31) that is housed inside the housing so as to reciprocate along its longitudinal direction; and driving means (35) that moves the movable bar in its axial direction. An opening (33B), from/to which the movable bar can project or retreat, is formed on a side wall (side plate 33A) of the housing, and a projection and an engaging hole engageable with the projection are formed on an upper wall and a bottom wall of the housing so as to be located at mutually corresponding positions, thereby a movable platform fence can be constituted by being installed on a support base or a fixed fence.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】列車利用者の安全性を担保しつつ車種の異なる車両の複数のドア配置への対応が容易であるホーム柵構成用の可動バーユニットを実現する。【解決手段】一方向に長い直方体状をなす筐体（３３）と、該筐体の内部にその長手方向に沿って往復移動可能に収納された可動バー（３１）と、該可動バーを軸方向へ移動させるための駆動手段（３５）とを備えた可動バーユニット（１３）において、筐体の側壁（側板３３Ａ）には可動バーが突出したり後退したりすることが可能な開口（３３Ｂ）が形成されているとともに、筐体の上壁および底壁には、突起および該突起と係合可能な係合穴が、互いに対応する部位に位置するように形成され、支持台もしくは固定柵上に設置されることで可動ホーム柵を構成可能にした。【選択図】図１
