Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device capable of excellently acquiring an image in a living organism and suppressing undesirable flexion of a tubular part.SOLUTION: A medical device 1 which is inserted in an organism lumen and for acquiring image information has: a long sheath body 21; an ultrasonic vibrator 411 housed in a distal part of the sheath body 21; a holding part 412 holding the ultrasonic vibrator 411; a drive shaft 42 transmitting a mechanical drive force to the holding part 412; a distal side tube 22 which is arranged sideways of the distal part of the sheath body 21 and is provided with a first guide wire lumen 221; and a reinforcement part 24 arranged inside the distal part of the sheath body 21.
