| Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of unauthorized take-out of a paper sheet and a detection system thereof during conveyance of a rejected paper sheet cassette.SOLUTION: A detection method of unauthorized take-out of a paper sheet according to the embodiment comprises steps of: storing in a rejected paper sheet cassette at least one rejected sheet sorted by a sorting processing of paper sheets; arranging a sorting card provided with an IC card on the rejected paper sheet; reading the information of the sorting card with an IC card reader provided in the rejected paper sheet cassette while the rejected paper sheet cassette containing the rejected paper sheet and the sorting card are conveyed; and detecting unauthorized take-out of the rejected paper sheet from the rejected paper sheet cassette based on the lateral position or distance of the sorting card read with the IC card reader.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
