PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device with which it is possible to prevent the erasure of paper that an operator does not want to be erased in an image formation device in which paper having an image formed thereon by an erasable ink can be erased.SOLUTION: Provided is an image formation device having: a fuser configured from a heating unit for heating a recording medium and a pressurization unit and executing a fixation process to fix an image formed on the recording medium by an erasable color material at a fixation temperature or an erasure process to erase the image at a decoloration temperature; a reader unit, disposed upstream from the fuser in the direction of recording medium conveyance, for reading an identifier indicating whether or not the color material of the image formed on the recording medium can be erased; and a control unit for controlling, on the basis of the result of reading the identifier by the reader unit, the execution of the erasure process to erase the image on the recording medium by the fuser.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】本発明の実施の形態が解決しようとする課題は、消去可能なインキなどによって画像が形成された用紙を消去可能な画像形成装置において、操作者が消去を望まない用紙の消去を防止することが可能な画像形成装置を提供することである。【解決手段】記録媒体に加熱を行う加熱部と加圧部とから構成され、記録媒体に消色可能色材により形成された画像を定着温度で定着する定着処理あるいは画像を消色温度で消去する消去処理を実行する定着器と、前記定着器よりも記録媒体の搬送方向上流側に配置され、記録媒体に形成された画像の色材の消色可否を示す識別子を読取る読取部と、前記読取部による識別子の読取結果に基づいて、前記定着器による記録媒体の画像の消去処理の実行を制御する制御部と、を有する画像形成装置。【選択図】図１
