Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock-up clutch control technique for a vehicle that reduces a frequency of releasing of a lock-up clutch without letting a driver feel incompatible.SOLUTION: A lock-up clutch control device for a vehicle comprises a torque converter having a lock-up clutch capable of transmitting power between an engine and driving wheels, and a transmission controller controlling transmission capacity of the lock-up clutch on the basis of an accelerator opening degree APO. This lock-up clutch control device for a vehicle allows the transmission controller to maintain a power transmission state of the lock-up clutch until driver's intention to reduce a speed is detected if the accelerator opening degree APO becomes equal to or less than a clutch release threshold APO1 with the lock-up clutch in the power transmission state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】運転者に違和感を与えることなく、ロックアップクラッチの解放頻度を低減する車両のロックアップクラッチ制御技術を提供すること。【解決手段】エンジンと駆動輪との間で動力伝達可能なロックアップクラッチを有するトルクコンバータと、アクセル開度APOに基づいてロックアップクラッチの伝達容量を制御する変速機コントローラと、を備える。この車両のロックアップクラッチ制御装置において、変速機コントローラは、ロックアップクラッチが動力伝達状態においてアクセル開度APOがクラッチ解放閾値APO1以下になったとき、運転者からの減速意図が検知されるまでロックアップクラッチの動力伝達状態を維持する。【選択図】図4
