Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock-up clutch control technique for a vehicle that reduces a frequency of releasing of a lock-up clutch without letting a driver feel incompatible.SOLUTION: A lock-up clutch control device for a vehicle comprises a torque converter having a lock-up clutch capable of transmitting power between an engine and driving wheels, and a transmission controller controlling transmission capacity of the lock-up clutch on the basis of an accelerator opening degree APO. This lock-up clutch control device for a vehicle allows the transmission controller to maintain a power transmission state of the lock-up clutch until driver's intention to reduce a speed is detected if the accelerator opening degree APO becomes equal to or less than a clutch release threshold APO1 with the lock-up clutch in the power transmission state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
