Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for treating a palm trunk which can control potassium concentration equal to or less than that of a wood pellet permissible as a solid fuel even when the potassium concentration in the palm trunk fluctuates and becomes high, dispense with a large amount of supply water and waste liquid, are simple, and suppress an increase in power.SOLUTION: A method for treating a palm trunk includes: a pulverization step of fibrillating a palm trunk to a soft tissue and a vascular bundle with the use of a pulverizer and pulverizing the palm trunk; a water addition step of adding water to the palm trunk pulverized in the pulverization step; and a compression step of compressing the powdery palm trunk to which the water is added in the water addition step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】パームトランク中のカリウム濃度が変動して高濃度になる場合においても、固体燃料として許容される木質ペレット並みのカリウム濃度以下にすることができ、しかも大量の給水や廃液を必要とせず、簡易でかつ動力の増加を抑えたパームトランクの処理装置と処理方法を提供する。【解決手段】パームトランクを、粉砕機を用いて柔組織と維管束とに解繊して粉砕する粉砕工程と、前記粉砕工程で粉砕されたパームトランクに加水する加水工程と、前記加水工程で加水された粉状のパームトランクを圧搾する圧搾工程と、を有することを特徴とするパームトランクの処理方法。【選択図】図1
