Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure fuel supply pump comprising a discharge valve that facilitates abrasion of a seat surface and secures a stroke regulation member and a breathing passage.SOLUTION: A valve mechanism comprises: a valve element that opens/closes a channel; a facing part that faces the valve element in a valve element axial direction; and an internal space which is formed from the valve element and the facing part and of which the volume is reduced in a case where the valve element is moved towards the facing part. In the valve mechanism, in the facing part, a valve element axial direction passage that communicates with the internal space is formed. The valve element axial direction passage is configured to make a fuel in the internal space flow through the valve element axial direction passage and flow in a radial outside direction of the facing part in the case where the valve element is moved towards the facing part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】シート面の研磨を容易にし、ストローク規制部材と息抜き流路を確保した吐出弁を備えた高圧燃料ポンプを提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】流路の開閉をする弁体と、前記弁体と弁体軸方向に対向する対向部と、前記弁体と前記対向部とにより形成され、前記弁体が前記対向部に向かって移動した場合に容積が小さくなる内部空間と、を有する弁機構において、前記対向部には前記内部空間と連通する弁体軸方向通路が形成され、前記弁体軸方向通路は、前記弁体が前記対向部に向かって移動した場合に前記内部空間の燃料が前記弁体軸方向通路を流れ、前記対向部の径方向外側方向に向かって流れるように構成された。【選択図】図3
