Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable whether the material of underground piping is ductile cast iron or gray cast iron simply and yet precisely in a non-destructive way.SOLUTION: A discriminating device used for hitting underground piping with a hammer or the like to know the material of the piping from the hitting sound comprises a measuring unit formed of recording means for recording the hammering sounds, frequency analyzing means for obtaining the frequency spectrum of the recorded sounds, frequency discriminating means for discriminating prescribed bandwidth from the frequency spectrum and communicating means, and a discriminating unit formed of communicating means for receiving and transmitting the discriminated spectrum, memory means for holding the spectrum and discriminating means, and a learning device comprises the discriminating device that derives the function parameters of the discriminant coefficient parameters of a support vector machine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】埋設配管の材質がダクタイル鋳鉄材であるか、ねずみ鋳鉄材であるかを非破壊で簡易にかつ高精度に判別できるようにする。【解決手段】ハンマー等で埋設配管を打撃して、その打音から配管の材質を判別する判別装置であって、打音を録音する録音手段と録音した音の周波数スペクトラムを得る周波数解析手段と周波数スペクトラムから所定の帯域データを弁別する周波数弁別手段と通信手段とで構成される測定部と、前記弁別されたスペクトラムを送受する通信手段と前記スペクトラムを保持する記憶手段と判別手段から構成される判別部、とからなる判別装置及びサポートベクターマシンの識別関数の係数パラメータを導出する学習装置を提供する。【選択図】図1
