Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric control device which can set return torque to a large value by a simple constitution, in a return mechanism which is employed to the electric control device, and employs a spiral spring.SOLUTION: An electric control device comprises an electric motor for pressing a friction member to a rotating member, and a return mechanism for moving the friction member to a direction in which the friction member is separated from the rotating member when an electric motor is not carried with electricity. The return mechanism is constituted of a spiral spring whose one end portion is locked to a rotating shaft which is driven by the electric motor, and a housing in which an inhibition face extended to a radial outside direction of the spiral spring is formed. The other end portion of the spiral spring has a first valley fold part which is valley-folded with respect to an external peripheral face, and a first mount fold part and a second mount fold part which are mount-folded in an order of proximity to one end. When the electric motor is rotated to a forward direction being a direction in which the friction member approximates the rotating member, the first mount fold part presses the inhibition face, and the spiral spring imparts return torque in a reverse direction to the electric motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】 電動制動装置に適用され、渦巻きばねを採用した戻し機構において、簡単な構成で、且つ、戻しトルクが大きい値に設定され得るものを提供する。【解決手段】 電動制動装置は、回転部材に摩擦部材を押し付ける電気モータと、電気モータが通電されない場合に摩擦部材を回転部材から離れる方向に移動させる戻し機構と、を備える。戻し機構は、一方端の部分が、電気モータによって駆動される回転軸に係止される渦巻きばねと、渦巻きばねの半径外側方向に延ばされた制止面が形成されるハウジングとで構成される。渦巻きばねの他方端の部分が、一方端に近い順に、外周面に対して、谷折りされた第1谷折り部、第1山折り部、及び、山折りされた第2山折り部が形成され、電気モータが摩擦部材を回転部材に近づける方向である正転方向に回転される場合に、第1山折り部は、制止面を押圧し、渦巻きばねは、逆転方向の戻しトルクを電気モータに付与する。【選択図】 図6
