Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast water treatment apparatus capable of performing appropriate ultraviolet treatment according to a navigating water area.SOLUTION: The ballast water treatment apparatus comprises: ultraviolet treatment means (3); electrical conductivity measuring means (6) for measuring the electrical conductivity of ballast water; and control means (5) for controlling the output of the ultraviolet treatment means (3) according to the electrical conductivity of the ballast water measured by the electrical conductivity measuring means (6).
