Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize restraint performance of a rear-seat side-collision chamber.SOLUTION: In a curtain airbag 30 of a curtain airbag device 10 for a vehicle, a rearmost tab 60R, which is fixed to a roof side rail 24 by extending from an upper edge part of a rear-seat side-collision chamber 34, includes a tab extension part 60R2. The tab extension part 60R2 connects with an upper edge part of a rear end part 34R of the rear-seat side-collision chamber 34 on the vehicle rear side rather than a fastener 62R. Therefore, the tensile force is applied to the tab extension part 60R2 when the inflated and deployed rear-seat side-collision chamber 34 oscillates to the vehicle front side. Thus, since an upper direction force F1 of the vehicle with respect to the rear end part 34R of the inflated and deployed rear-seat side-collision chamber 34 is applied, the inflated and deployed rear-seat side-collision chamber 34 is restrained from oscillating to the vehicle front side. As a result it becomes possible for the rear-seat side-collision chamber 34 to restrain a head part H of a passenger P on the rear seat at a position as designed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】後席側突チャンバの拘束性能を安定させる。【解決手段】車両用カーテンエアバッグ装置10のカーテンエアバッグ30では、後席側突チャンバ34の上縁部から延出されてルーフサイドレール24に固定された最後方タブ60Rが、タブ延長部60R2を有している。このタブ延長部60R2は、締結具62Rよりも車両後方側において、後席側突チャンバ34の後端部34Rの上縁部と繋がっている。このため、膨張展開した後席側突チャンバ34が車両前方側へ揺動しようとした際には、タブ延長部60R2に張力が作用する。これにより、膨張展開した後席側突チャンバ34の後端部34Rに対して車両上方向きの力F1が作用するので、膨張展開した後席側突チャンバ34が車両前方側へ揺動することが抑制される。その結果、後席側突チャンバ34が後席乗員Pの頭部Hを設計通りの位置で拘束することが可能となる。【選択図】図1 |
