Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator structure of a torque converter which improves torque transmission capacity and torque ratio of a torque converter with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A torque converter T includes a pump impeller 12, a turbine runner 14, a main stator 40 which is arranged between the pump impeller 12 and the turbine runner 14 and is supported by a fixing part 38 via a one-way clutch 44, and a subsidiary stator 41 fixed to the main stator 40. Therefore, the number of the one-way clutches 44 is set to one so as to reduce weight and cost and, thereby, torque transmission capacity and torque ratio of the torque converter T can be improved. Further, the subsidiary stator 41 is provided with a plurality of support projections 41c projected to an axial line L direction on an inner circumferential part, the support projections 41c are fixed so as to penetrate a support hole 45a formed in the axial line L direction on an inner circumferential part of the main stator 40, therefore, the subsidiary stator 41 is simply and rigidly fixed to the main stator 40 without requiring particular fixing means, and weight and cost can be furthermore reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 簡単な構造のステータでトルクコンバータのトルク伝達容量およびトルク比を高める。【解決手段】 トルクコンバータTは、ポンプインペラ12と、タービンランナ14と、ポンプインペラ12およびタービンランナ14間に配置されてワンウェイクラッチ44を介して固定部38に支持される主ステータ40と、主ステータ40に固定される副ステータ41とを備えるので、ワンウェイクラッチ44の数を1個で済ませて重量およびコストを削減しながらトルクコンバータTのトルク伝達容量およびトルク比を高めることができる。また副ステータ41は内周部に軸線L方向に突出する複数の支持突起41cを備え、支持突起41cは主ステータ40の内周部に軸線L方向に形成された支持孔45aを貫通して固定されるので、特別の固定手段を必要とせずに主ステータ40に副ステータ41を簡単にかつ強固に固定するとともに重量およびコストを更に削減することができる。【選択図】 図1
