Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wear of a pinion gear at a gear support part, while achieving reduction in size and weight of a device.SOLUTION: A differential gear device includes: a pinion shaft 8 fixed to a differential case 7; pinion gears 9, 10 rotatably supported by the pinion shaft 8; and a first side gear 11 and a second side gear 12 which are engaged with the pinion gears 9, 10 from both sides and in which drive shafts 15, 17 are fitted respectively. In the differential gear device D, pinion gear teeth 9b, 10b of the pinion gears 9, 10 are formed outside toward the opposite side from the drive shafts 15, 17. Side gear teeth 11b, 12b of the first side gear 11 and the second side gear 12 are formed inside toward the drive shafts 15, 17.
