PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition that is capable of inhibiting cloudiness encountered in using an alkali earth metal hydroxide excellent in handleability.SOLUTION: Provided is a monohalogenoamine-producing composition comprising (A) a compound that releases hypohalous acid and/or hypohalous acidic ions when dissolved in water, (B) a compound having N-H bond, and (C) an alkali earth metal hydroxide. The sum of the theoretical molar number of hypohalous acid and the theoretical molar number of hypohalous acidic ions generated from (A) and the theoretical molar number of hydroxide ions derived from (C) is 4.0 or less relative to the theoretical molar number of N-H ions in (B).SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】取扱い性に優れるアルカリ土類金属の水酸化物を用いた時に生じる白濁を抑制できる組成物を提供する。【解決手段】（Ａ）水に溶解させた時に次亜ハロゲン酸及び／又は次亜ハロゲン酸イオンを放出する化合物と、（Ｂ）Ｎ＋−Ｈ結合を有する化合物と、（Ｃ）アルカリ土類金属水酸化物とを含有し、（Ａ）より生成する次亜ハロゲン酸の理論モル数及び次亜ハロゲン酸イオンの理論モル数と（Ｃ）由来の水酸化物イオンの理論モル数との和が、（Ｂ）中のＮ＋−Ｈイオンの理論モル数に対して、４．０以下である、モノハロゲノアミン製造用組成物。【選択図】なし
