【課題】バースト信号の光増幅に伴う過渡応答の抑制において、コスト低減化、消費電力低減化、制御高速化を実現する。【解決手段】バースト信号を光増幅する光増幅装置1は、下り光信号を解析し、上り光信号として光増幅装置1に入力されるバースト信号の入力強度およびバースト幅を計算する第1の計算回路11と、第1の計算回路11が計算した入力強度およびバースト幅に基づいて、バースト信号を光増幅した際の過渡応答に応じた減衰値を計算する第2の計算回路12と、第2の計算回路12が計算した減衰値に基づいて、光増幅装置1に入力されるバースト信号を減衰させる時間的可変ATT14と、時間的可変ATT14によって減衰したバースト信号を光増幅する光増幅器15bと、を備える、ことを特徴とする。【選択図】図1 |
