Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus capable of preventing occurrence of a fixing failure.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus fixes an unfixed image on a recording sheet by applying pressurization and heating. A heating member includes resistance heaters 63a-63g for heating seven divided heating areas formed along a width direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of a recording sheet, respectively. Thermistors 68a-68g for detecting fixing belt temperature are arranged in each of the heating areas.
