Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet storing cassette capable of surely lowering a sheet loading plate and a push-up plate when pulling out from an apparatus body, and an image forming apparatus provided therewith.SOLUTION: A paper feeding cassette (sheet storing cassette) 1 comprises a sheet loading plate 20, a lift mechanism 25 for elevating/lowering the sheet loading plate 20 between an ascent position and a descent position, and a torsion spring 52. The lift mechanism 25 includes a push-up plate drive shaft 21, and a push-up plate 22 which is fixed to the push-up plate drive shaft 21 for elevating/lowering the sheet loading plate 20 by rotating while in contact with the sheet loading plate 20 from the lower side. The torsion spring 52 energizes the push-up plate 22 in a direction where the sheet loading plate 20 rotates to the descent position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】装置本体から引き出す際にシート積載板および押し上げ板を確実に下降させることが可能なシート収納カセットおよびそれを備えた画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】給紙カセット（シート収納カセット）１は、シート積載板２０と、上昇位置と下降位置との間でシート積載板２０を昇降させるリフト機構２５と、ねじりバネ５２と、を備える。リフト機構２５は、押し上げ板駆動シャフト２１と、押し上げ板駆動シャフト２１に固定され、シート積載板２０に下側から当接した状態で回動することによりシート積載板２０を昇降させる押し上げ板２２と、を含む。ねじりバネ５２は、シート積載板２０が下降位置に回動する方向に、押し上げ板２２を付勢する。【選択図】図４
