PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery in which a contact piece reverses to generate an external short circuit when the internal pressure exceeds a reference pressure and that makes it difficult to occur a circumstance in which the operation sensitivity of the contact piece deteriorates to eliminate safety degradation.SOLUTION: A secondary battery includes an electrode unit, a first terminal and a second terminal 21, and a top cover 31. The secondary battery further includes a contact piece 12 that adheres to the first terminal. The top cover 31 is provided so as to be insulated from the first terminal and is electrically connected to the second terminal 21. When the internal pressure of the secondary battery exceeds reference pressure, the contact piece 12 comes into contact with the top cover 31 by the internal pressure, and an electrical connection path that passes through a first pole piece, the first terminal, the contact piece 12, the top cover, the second terminal 21, and a second pole piece is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】内部圧力が基準圧力を上回ったとき、接触片が反転して外部短絡を発生させる二次電池において、接触片の動作感度が劣化する事情が起こり難くして安全性低下を解消する二次電池を提供。【解決手段】二次電池は、電極ユニット、第１端子、第２端子２１およびトップカバー３１を備える。前記二次電池は、前記第１端子に付着される接触片１２をさらに備える。前記トップカバー３１は、前記第１端子に対して絶縁となるように設けられ、前記第２端子２１に電気接続される。前記二次電池の内部圧力が基準圧力を上回ったとき、前記接触片１２は、前記内部圧力により動作して前記トップカバー３１に接触し、前記第１極片と前記第１端子と前記接触片１２と前記トップカバーと前記第２端子２１と前記第２極片とを通過する電気接続経路を形成する。【選択図】図２
