PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning unit and a spinning machine capable of suppressing the damage of a panel.SOLUTION: Provided is a spinning unit 2 comprising: a draft apparatus 6 feeding a yarn Y and an air spinning apparatus 7; a yarn storage roller 54 storring the fed yarn Y; and a front panel 60 arranged at the front side of the yarn storage roller 54 and formed with an opening 61 exposing the yarn storage roller 54 to the front side. The front panel 60 includes: a body part 62; and a first edge member 63 and a second edge member 64 forming the edges of the opening 61.
