Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator capable of preventing actuation when output in a predetermined range is not performed by predetermined or higher humidity, and to provide a gas generator replacement time notification device using the gas generator.SOLUTION: A gas generator 100 has a short substantially cylindrical housing of which both ends in an axial direction are blocked, and is configured so as to store a holding section 30, an igniter 40, a cup-like member 50, a transfer charge 56, a gas generating agent 61, a lower side holding member 62, an upper side holding member 63, a cushioning member 64 and the like in a combustion chamber provided inside of the housing. A squib cup has a pair of projections extending from the side portion of the bottom to a direction of a side wall portion 52 of the cup-like member 50, and is obtained by molding a conductive/absorptive material. The projections are set at such a length as not to come in contact with the side wall portion 52 of the cup-like member 50 in normal time, and absorb water and expands when the inside of the cup-like member 50 becomes predetermined or higher humidity and are previously set so as to come in contact with the side wall portion 52 of the cup-like member 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】所定以上の湿度によって予定範囲の出力が出せなくなった場合に作動を防止できるガス発生器と、該ガス発生器を用いたガス発生器交換時期報知装置を得る。【解決手段】ガス発生器100は、軸方向の両端が閉塞された短尺略円筒状のハウジングを有し、このハウジングの内部に設けられた燃焼室内に、保持部30、点火器40、カップ状部材50、伝火薬56、ガス発生剤61、下側保持部材62、上側保持部材63、クッション材64等が収容されることで構成されている。スクイブカップは、底部の側部からカップ状部材50の側壁部52の方向へ延設された一対の突起部を有し、導電性・吸水性材料を成型してなる。突起部は、通常時、カップ状部材50の側壁部52に接触しないような長さに設定され、カップ状部材50内が所定以上の湿度になった場合に吸水して膨張し、カップ状部材50の側壁部52に接触するように予め設定されている。【選択図】図1
