Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal energy recovery system capable of increasing a power recovery amount, and an operation method therefor.SOLUTION: A thermal energy recovery system comprises an evaporator (10), an expander (12), a power recovery section (14), a condenser (16), a pump (18), a supply flow passage (32), a discharge flow passage (34), a pressure control valve (V1), and a control section (40).
