Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a band by avoiding redundant transmission of data having the same content.SOLUTION: A communication system includes: a plurality of subscriber side optical line terminal devices to which terminal devices are connected; and an office side optical line terminal device connected to the subscriber side optical line terminal devices by a multiplex distributor. When a terminal device connected to any subscriber side optical line terminal device transmits a distribution request signal for requesting reception of data from the outside; the office side optical line terminal device, if the office side optical line terminal device is transmitting data having the same content as that of the data to another terminal device, transmits the data during the transmission as broadcast distribution to the multiplex distributor without transmitting data corresponding to the distribution request signal. When receiving data transmitted using broadcast distribution from the multiplex distributor, the subscriber side optical line terminal device to which the terminal device, a transmission source of the distribution request signal, is connected replaces a destination of the received data with a terminal address of the terminal device of the transmission source of the distribution request signal before transmitting the received data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】同一内容のデータの重複した送信を回避して帯域を効率的に使用すること。【解決手段】端末装置が接続する複数の加入者側光回線終端装置と、局側光回線終端装置とが多重分配器によって接続される通信システムであって、局側光回線終端装置は、いずれかの加入者側光回線終端装置に接続される端末装置が、外部よりデータを受信することを要求する配信要求信号を送信する場合、当該データと同一内容のデータを他の端末装置に対して送信中であるとき、当該配信要求信号に対応するデータの送信は行わずに、送信中のデータを同報配信として多重分配器に送信し、配信要求信号の送信元の端末装置が接続する加入者側光回線終端装置は、多重分配器から同報配信で送信されるデータを受信する場合、受信するデータの宛先を配信要求信号の送信元の端末装置の端末アドレスに書き換えて送信する通信システム。【選択図】図１
