PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain reliability of a semiconductor storage device.SOLUTION: A semiconductor storage device according to an embodiment comprises a controller, a nonvolatile semiconductor memory that stores data, and a volatile semiconductor memory that stores data. The nonvolatile semiconductor memory includes a plurality of storage areas, and stores startup information used by the controller when starting up the semiconductor storage device. The startup information is stored in at least one storage area of the nonvolatile semiconductor memory when the nonvolatile semiconductor memory is manufactured.
